
The PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME parameter in Oracle 11g and later is set to 180, meaning a user has to update his/her password before it goes into expired state after 180 days. To avoid password expiry, you can set the PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME to unlimited: “alter profile default limit PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME UNLIMITED;”.
